Joe Mazzulla says Paul George has had “a tremendous training camp from a physical standpoint” in his first preseason with Boston.

“The balance is making sure we do what gives us the best chance to get the best version of him every single night,” the Celtics coach said.

George came to Boston this summer in a trade with the 76ers after several seasons interrupted by injuries. Mazzulla’s focus points to managing his workload.

Dillon Mitchell and Amari Williams hold two of Boston’s three two-way deals, leaving one spot for the Exhibit 10 group.

Devin Carter, the 13th pick in 2024, scored 17 points in the preseason win over Cleveland, though an illness has slowed him since.

Boston opens the regular season on Oct. 20 against the Detroit Pistons.
