De'Aaron Fox says he spent most of the Spurs' run to the Finals on a right high ankle sprain.

The sprain came in Game 4 against Minnesota. He missed two games of the West finals, then played the last five.

Against OKC he averaged 11.2 points on 36.5% shooting, well below his regular-season scoring.

“If it were the regular season, I definitely wouldn't have played,” Fox told Andscape's Marc J. Spears.

“I played more games in the playoffs hurt than I did healthy. People can talk. It's no sweat off my back.”
