The Cavaliers, Nuggets and Pistons all waived the players who had been on Exhibit 10 contracts, according to NBA.com's transaction log.
Because each of those players was cut on Saturday, they will clear waivers on Monday before the regular season begins, meaning Cleveland, Denver and Detroit will not be on the hook for any dead money.
The players waived Saturday by the three teams: Rashaun Agee, Zack Austin, Tre'Von Spillers, Noam Yaacov, Dane Goodwin, Coleman Hawkins, Emanuel Miller, John Ukomadu and Brice Williams.
The Cavs are now carrying 14 players on standard contracts, 12 of them fully guaranteed, and three on two-way deals, so their roster is ready for the regular season.
Cleveland does not have enough room below its hard cap at the first tax apron to carry a 15th player on a standard deal.
Denver likewise has 14 players on standard contracts and three on two-way deals, complying with the regular season roster limit.
While the Nuggets technically have the ability to carry a 15th man, they are far above the luxury tax line and are the only team operating over the second apron, so they will be in no rush to fill that opening.
The Pistons now have a full 15-man standard roster along with three players on two-way contracts, so they are set for the regular season.
Most or all of the players waived Saturday by the Cavs, Nuggets and Pistons are expected to end up with their respective teams' G League affiliates.
