“I feel like I always just have like an unwavering confidence,” McCain said at Thunder practice on Sunday, whether he plays one minute or starts.

The Sixers traded him to Oklahoma City on Feb. 4. He averaged 10.4 points and shot 39.1% from three in 30 games for the Thunder.

He averaged 13.1 points against San Antonio in the West finals and started Games 5 and 6 before the Spurs won Game 7 111-103.

“It’s going to take more than what we did last year,” McCain said of what that playoff run taught him.

With Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins gone, he spent the summer shooting over contests and reading closeouts to drive and kick.

The Thunder visit San Antonio on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET, which is 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo.
