John Collins scored 23 and Paul Reed had 19 and 11 off the bench as Detroit moved to 2-0.

Detroit opened with five threes and led 41-26 after one quarter. It never trailed.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 36 points and 12 rebounds on 15-of-26, but no other Heat player scored more than 18.

Duncan Robinson, back in Miami after seven seasons with the Heat, scored 17 on 5-of-10 from three.

Detroit made 18 of 37 threes, Collins 5-of-6. Miami went 14-of-48, and Klay Thompson 2-of-11.
