$209 million over five years

The Hornets finalized Brandon Miller’s five-year, $209 million rookie-scale extension on Monday, a commitment through the 2030-31 season.

“It goes back to the players”

Asked what would keep him in Charlotte, Miller pointed to the trust his teammates built and the veterans who stuck with him as a rookie.

The new face of Charlotte

The Hornets traded LaMelo Ball to Minnesota this summer. The deal is the second-largest rookie extension of the offseason behind Victor Wembanyama’s.

Tuning out the noise

What he brings to year four

Miller averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season, shooting 38.3% from three while playing through a shoulder injury.
