Twenty-three years ago this month, the 2003 draft class took the floor. Four future All-Stars made their NBA debuts on the same Wednesday night.

LeBron: 25 and 9

At Sacramento, the No. 1 pick had 25 points (12-20 FG), six rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 42:50. The Kings still won, 106-92.

Melo beats Duncan

Carmelo Anthony started at home against the defending champion Spurs: 12 points on 4-of-15 and seven rebounds as Denver won 80-72. Duncan had 17, 21 and eight blocks.

Wade’s rough night

Dwyane Wade started in Boston and made 2 of 12 shots for five points, with four assists, in a 98-75 loss. Paul Pierce scored 23 for the Celtics.

Bosh off the bench

Chris Bosh was the only one of the four who didn’t start: 11 points on 5-of-8, four rebounds and two blocks in a 90-87 win over New Jersey. Vince Carter scored 39.

What the class became

James: four titles, four MVPs and more than 43,000 points. Anthony, Wade and Bosh are all Hall of Famers. Wade won three titles, Bosh two.
