Dallas center Moussa Cissé did not return after halftime against New Orleans because of a left ankle sprain.

According to Marc Stein, the injury is not regarded as serious and Dallas kept Cissé out as a precaution.

In his first preseason start, Cissé had eight points, six rebounds and three blocks in the first half.

Dereck Lively II and Santi Aldama were out, and Daniel Gafford and Morez Johnson Jr. rested.

Dallas has two preseason games left before the opener. The next status update should come on the team's availability report.
