Trae Young averaged 7.5 assists in four exhibition games for Washington, but made just 7 of 27 shots and 5 of 19 from three.

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve probably gotten better at it, of knowing when to pick my spots,” Young said on Monday, two days before the opener.

“If you forgot, then maybe I just have to continue to be more aggressive and be more myself, and that’s all I’m gonna do this year.”

Young played only 15 games last season, 10 for Atlanta and five for Washington after the trade, averaging 17.9 points and 8.0 assists.

“If the fans are gonna continue to chant my name … you’re definitely gonna get that energy when I see you in the Garden,” he said of Knicks fans.

The Wizards host the Bucks on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. ET (2 a.m. Cairo Thursday). Young’s next trip to Madison Square Garden is March 20.
