The story

The Warriors like Terry and he is expected to open the season with their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, according to reporter Brett Siegel, even though his contract did not include the Exhibit 10 language that would have put him in line for a bonus for reporting to the NBAGL.

The story

The 18th overall pick in the 2022 draft out of Arizona, Terry spent his first three-and-a-half seasons with the Bulls, who traded him to New York ahead of the February deadline. He was immediately rerouted to New Orleans and subsequently waived by the Pelicans.

The story

The 6'6" guard/forward signed a two-way contract with Philadelphia in February and had it converted to a two-year standard contract in April to make him eligible for the 2026 playoffs.

The story

The Sixers initially picked up their minimum-salary team option on Terry for 2026/27, but the salary was fully non-guaranteed and he was waived when the club needed room under its hard cap to officially sign LeBron James.

The story

Terry's release bodes well for Brandon Williams' odds of making the Warriors' regular season roster. The former Mavericks guard's salary will remain non-guaranteed until January even if he is still on the standard roster next week.
