Zion Williamson wants to make the three-point shot a bigger part of his game, Marc Stein reported on Monday, October 19. The Pelicans forward has been working to expand his shooting range during the preseason, according to Stein.
Williamson has built his career on power around the rim and is a 32.4 percent three-point shooter for his career, per StatMuse, but he has never been a volume outside shooter. A reliable perimeter shot would give New Orleans a new dimension heading into the regular season.
The Pelicans open the 2026-27 season at home against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, October 21.
