The Bulls confirmed Hawkins’ two-way deal and Isaiah Stevens’ waiver on October 6.

What the contract allows

The arrangement gives Chicago flexibility to use Jordan Hawkins between its NBA team and G League affiliate, Windy City. Teams can carry three two-way players alongside a maximum of 15 players on standard NBA contracts.

A two-way player can be on an NBA active list for up to 50 regular-season games. That is an eligibility ceiling, not a promise of 50 appearances or a guaranteed place in the rotation. A game can count toward the limit even if the player dresses but does not enter.

What would change for the postseason?

Two-way players cannot take part in NBA postseason games, including the play-in tournament. Hawkins would need a standard NBA contract before Chicago’s final regular-season game begins to become eligible. That would also bring him under the standard-contract roster rules.

The deal alone does not establish a game-specific role or a Windy City assignment. Follow the Bulls team page for team context and the October 6 live coverage for further verified developments.
