Bulls point guard Josh Giddey raised eyebrows after Wednesday’s 135-92 loss to the Raptors when he was asked about a wrap on his left wrist. He told reporters he suffered an injury during the preseason that will have to be managed “throughout the season,” Joel Lorenzi reports. Asked whether it is a tissue injury, Giddey deferred to the Bulls’ medical staff. K.C. Johnson notes that the 24-year-old was not listed on Chicago’s injury report before the game.

Chicago did get some help up front. Zach Collins returned after missing the preseason with a quad injury, even with starting center Nic Claxton out to open the season. Joe Cowley reports Collins will be limited to about 12 to 16 minutes per game for now.

“The tough part about Zach is he didn’t play yet,” coach Tiago Splitter said before the game. “He didn’t play much last year, so we slowly want to put him there in the rotation and see those combinations, playing double-big or not. We’re going to have time to see it, have a small sample there, but we will try different combinations.”

Collins went scoreless in nine minutes with five rebounds, and the Bulls outscored Toronto by seven points while he was on the floor.
