Amar’e Stoudemire played 14 NBA regular seasons between 2002 and 2016, appearing in 846 games and averaging 18.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He played for 4 teams: Phoenix (2002–10, 516 games), New York (2010–15, 255 games), Dallas (2014–15, 23 games), Miami (2015–16, 52 games). His best scoring season was 2004–05 with Phoenix: 26.0 points per game over 80 games.

About Amar’e Stoudemire

Amar'e Carsares Stoudemire (born November 16, 1982), also known as Yehoshophat ben Avraham, is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as a player development assistant for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2025 and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2026.

He won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 2003 with the Phoenix Suns, who selected him with the ninth overall pick of the 2002 NBA draft. He made six appearances in the NBA All-Star Game and was named to the All-NBA Team five times, including one first-team selection in 2007. Stoudemire was inducted into the Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor on March 2, 2024.

Stoudemire played high school basketball for three schools, ultimately graduating from Cypress Creek High School in Orlando, Florida, and declaring for the NBA draft as a prep-to-pro player. He won several prep honors, including being selected as Florida's Mr. Basketball. Stoudemire had chronic knee problems during his career and underwent microfracture surgery on both knees. He played for the Suns, the New York Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Miami Heat before retiring from the NBA in 2016.
