Phoenix Suns forward Miles Bridges left Wednesday’s preseason game against the Chicago Bulls after rolling his ankle early in the second quarter, according to Arizona Sports.

Checked October 10, 2026. This is based on a reporter’s account, not an official team diagnosis.

What happened

Bridges appeared to twist his ankle after colliding with Bulls guard Norman Powell while going after a loose ball. He got up on his own and kept playing until the next dead ball, then went to the locker room. He did not return in the first half, and the team ruled him out for the rest of the game.

He had played about eight minutes and scored three points on an and-1 reverse layup, with a rebound and an assist. Second-year forward Rasheer Fleming took his place in the starting lineup for the second half.

How serious is it

Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported that Bridges will be fine and could be held out of Saturday’s preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs as a precaution, with nothing to be concerned about.

Bridges, who joined Phoenix in an offseason trade involving Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale, is expected to start at power forward. He had eight points, five rebounds and four assists in 14 minutes in Phoenix’s preseason opener against Detroit.

The Suns have three more preseason games before opening the regular season on October 21 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
