Jaylen Brown led the NBA in shots taken, shots made, twos and turnovers in 2025-26

Oct 15, 2026

1,543 shots

Jaylen Brown took 1,543 shots for Boston in 2025-26, made 736, launched 1,139 twos and turned it over 259 times. All four totals led the NBA.

The attempts race

Tyrese Maxey was next in field-goal attempts at 1,501, with Jalen Brunson at 1,475 and Luka Dončić at 1,457.

Five ahead on makes

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished second with 731 made baskets, five behind Brown. Kevin Durant was third at 716.

Living inside the arc

Brown’s 1,139 two-point attempts beat Gilgeous-Alexander’s 1,023 by more than 100. He made 596 of them, a .523 clip.

The other side of volume

His 259 turnovers led Dončić by four. At 3.6 a game and a 12.7 turnover percentage, the rate was ordinary for a high-usage wing.

An All-NBA season

Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 71 starts, made the All-Star team and All-NBA Second Team and was sixth in MVP voting.

The 2026-27 question

His 36.2 usage rate trailed only Dončić. Can Boston keep that load efficient, or spread it without losing the made-basket lead?
