Victor Wembanyama is expected back for the Spurs’ preseason home game against Phoenix, along with Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and Devin Vassell.

All four starters sat Monday’s 119-109 loss at Utah. Coach Mitch Johnson said it was rest the medical staff had planned before the preseason.

De’Aaron Fox has not played this preseason because of hip tightness that Johnson calls “nothing serious or long term.” He is questionable.

Carter Bryant has been out since rolling his right ankle at Phoenix. Johnson said both are “trending in the right way” but would not promise either will play.

Tobias Harris is out for the rest of the preseason with a left calf strain, and rookie Jayden Quaintance is out indefinitely after knee surgery.

Tipoff at Frost Bank Center is 7 p.m. CT (3 a.m. Thursday in Cairo). Phoenix is also expected to rest much of its rotation.
