Anfernee Simons took a full part in the Philadelphia 76ers’ practice on Sunday and is trending toward being available for Tuesday’s regular-season opener against the New York Knicks, according to Ky Carlin.
Simons did not appear at all in the preseason because of a hamstring injury. The 27-year-old guard’s return to full practice two days before the opener is a positive sign for his availability.
Adem Bona was also a full participant in Sunday’s session, according to reports. The third-year center has been dealing with a foot problem and was ruled out of Friday’s preseason finale along with Simons.
The 76ers visit the Knicks at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the night the defending champions raise their banner at Madison Square Garden.
