Franz Wagner does light work in Sunday practice as Magic evaluate shoulder

Franz Wagner was able to do some “light work” during the Orlando Magic’s practice on Sunday, a promising development two days after the star forward exited the preseason finale with right shoulder soreness, according to Jason Beede.

Head coach Sean Sweeney said the team continues to evaluate Wagner’s shoulder. Wagner left Friday’s win over Miami in the third quarter after grabbing at his right arm following a three-point shot and was ruled out late in the period.

The Magic are assessing Wagner’s availability ahead of their season opener this week.
