Hornets 2026-27 theme nights: Marvel Night Miller shirt, Space Jam vest, Grateful Dead and HBCU nights at Spectrum Center

CHARLOTTE — Oct. 15, 2026 — The Hornets have 26 theme and promotional dates posted for the 2026-27 season at Spectrum Center, opening with a T-shirt for every fan on Opening Night against Atlanta on Oct. 23 and closing with a cowboy hat on Buzz City Appreciation Night against Brooklyn on April 9.

Home tips are 7 p.m. Eastern unless listed otherwise. Giveaways marked for the first 7,500 fans go to fans through the gates in that order, while the ticket packages (Canes Night, Grateful Dead, Peanuts, Space Jam, HBCU, Divine Nine and Autism Acceptance) bundle a game ticket with an exclusive item and are sold through the team’s group tickets office.

October: Opening Night, Canes Night, pink hats and Iron Flame

Opening Night presented by Judi Health is Friday, Oct. 23 against the Hawks, with a T-shirt for all fans. The next night, Saturday, Oct. 24 against Miami at 6 p.m., is Canes Night: the package pairs a ticket with an exclusive Hornets x Carolina Hurricanes long-sleeve shirt. Monday, Oct. 26 against Washington doubles up as Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Novant Health, with a winter hat for the first 7,500 fans, and Iron Flame Night built around Rebecca Yarros’ fantasy series.

November: Red Rising, two Cup Nights, Grateful Dead and Space Jam

Red Rising Night is Monday, Nov. 2 against Detroit at 7:30 p.m. The Hornets’ two NBA Cup home games are branded Cup Nights presented by Bank of America: Friday, Nov. 6 against Boston, with a rally towel for the first 7,500, and Wednesday, Nov. 25 against Chicago. Grateful Dead Night on Monday, Nov. 9 (Cleveland on the official schedule) comes with a Hornets x Grateful Dead hoodie in its package, and the Peanuts package on Monday, Nov. 23 against Memphis includes a Snoopy cap.

The first Buzz City Kids Day is Saturday, Nov. 28 against Brooklyn at 6 p.m., with a Hugo squish pillow presented by Novant Health for the first 7,500 fans. Monday, Nov. 30 against Washington is Throwback Night presented by Lowe’s, and the same game carries a Space Jam 30th anniversary package with an exclusive Tune Squad-style hooded vest.

December and January: Marvel Night, Star Wars and HBCU Night

Marvel Night on Monday, Dec. 14 against Toronto hands the first 7,500 fans a Brandon Miller Winter Soldier long-sleeve T-shirt. Holiday Hoopla presented by Novant Health follows on Wednesday, Dec. 16 against the Clippers, and the first of two Educators Appreciation Nights is Tuesday, Dec. 29 against Orlando.

January opens with another Buzz City Kids Day, a 1 p.m. Saturday game against Cleveland on Jan. 2. Community Heroes Night presented by Corcoran HM Properties is Tuesday, Jan. 5 against Atlanta, Fast Break to Love, a pregame singles mixer, is Friday, Jan. 22 against Houston, and Star Wars Night is Monday, Jan. 25 against Orlando. HBCU Night closes the month on Sunday, Jan. 31 against the Lakers, with a package that includes a custom Hornets HBCU baseball jersey.

February to April: Divine Nine, Los Hornets, Women’s Impact, AAPI and fan appreciation

The Divine Nine package for the 3 p.m. Saturday game against Dallas on Feb. 13 includes a D9-inspired Hornets bucket hat. Educators Appreciation Night returns Wednesday, March 10 against New Orleans, and Los Hornets presented by Lunazul is Saturday, March 13 against Phoenix at 6 p.m.

Women’s Impact Night presented by Thompson is Wednesday, March 24 against Detroit. The final Buzz City Kids Day is Sunday, March 28 against Utah at 6 p.m., and the Autism Acceptance Night package for Tuesday, March 30 against Miami comes with a puzzle-piece stress ball. AAPI Heritage Night is Tuesday, April 6 against Indiana, and the home slate wraps on Friday, April 9 against Brooklyn with Buzz City Appreciation Night presented by Dr Pepper and a cowboy hat for the first 7,500.
