Free agent forward John Konchar has signed a two-year contract with Olympiacos, the Greek club announced. His agency, GSL Sports Group, also confirmed the move. It is the first time in his career he will play professionally overseas.

Konchar, 30, is a 6-foot-5 wing known for rebounding, some ball handling and defending multiple positions. He averaged 4.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 17.6 minutes over 363 regular-season games, most of them with Memphis.

His last year moved quickly. He was traded to Utah in the Jaren Jackson Jr. deal, then sent to Minnesota in August with Cody Williams and waived by the Timberwolves. He signed an Exhibit 9 training-camp deal with the Knicks in September, but was cut near the start of camp to deal with a personal matter, a decision said to be mutual. He had been an unrestricted free agent since Oct. 2.

Olympiacos is the defending EuroLeague champion, having won the 2026 title for the first time in 13 years, and is off a 5-1 start this fall. Its roster includes former NBA players Sasha Vezenkov, Donta Hall and Kostas Papanikolaou. The team is without Evan Fournier because of shoulder and knee injuries.
