NBA downgrades Tari Eason’s ejection foul against Dallas from a Flagrant 2 to a Flagrant 1

The NBA has downgraded Rockets forward Tari Eason’s first-quarter foul from Wednesday’s opener against Dallas from a Flagrant 2 to a Flagrant 1 after a review, announced Thursday. Eason had been ejected after pushing P.J. Washington in the back, and he played most of the game without him.

Houston still won 128-110. Head coach Ime Udoka called the sequence “a little bit of a shoving match” and said he was surprised it was upgraded from a common foul, Matt Young reports.
