The first official NBA injury report for Wednesday's 11 games: Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac are out for Orlando while Franz Wagner is cleared, the Pacers rule out T.J. McConnell and Aaron Nesmith, Santi Aldama is out, and Knueppel, White and Grant Williams sit for Charlotte.

The first official NBA injury report for Wednesday’s 11-game slate came out on Tuesday evening, and it settled several of the opening-week questions. The Orlando Magic ruled out Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac but left Franz Wagner off the report entirely. The Indiana Pacers will be without T.J. McConnell and Aaron Nesmith, and Dallas downgraded Santi Aldama from doubtful to out.
Eight of the night’s 11 games had full listings on the league’s 6 p.m. ET report. The six teams playing late in the West, the Warriors, Lakers, Suns, Trail Blazers, Kings and Clippers, had not yet submitted theirs. Times below are Eastern, with Cairo seven hours ahead.
Black (right ankle sprain), Isaac (left knee, injury management), Noah Penda (partially torn right hamstring) and Izaiyah Nelson (left ankle, injury management) are all out for Sean Sweeney’s first game as Orlando’s coach. Black missed the entire preseason with the ankle and practiced again on Sunday, but the Magic decided he is not ready. Wagner, who said Tuesday that he practiced fully and planned to play through his right shoulder soreness, is not listed and is available. Jase Richardson, who had been day-to-day with a sore lower back, is also off the report. Jason Beede posted the Magic’s list.
Atlanta lists Mouhamed Gueye (left foot fracture) and Henri Veesaar (torn right ACL) as out. Its three two-way players, RayJ Dennis, Keshon Gilbert and Jalen Wilson, are questionable because of G League assignments. Game Center.
Washington confirmed what Brian Keefe said earlier on Tuesday: No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa is out with a left ankle sprain (our Dybantsa story). Tristan Vukcevic (left hip impingement) and Jamir Watkins (left ACL surgery) are also out. Milwaukee lists only rookie Nate Ament, who is probable with a left ankle sprain after missing the preseason finale. Game Center.
Bam Adebayo is not on Miami’s first report of the season, a good sign after the groin issue he dealt with in camp. Dru Smith (right calf strain) and Myron Gardner (right ankle sprain) are listed as available, and center Vladislav Goldin is questionable with a right ankle sprain after missing practice on Tuesday. Minnesota lists only Donte DiVincenzo, who is out as he recovers from Achilles surgery. Game Center.
Charlotte will open short in the backcourt. Kon Knueppel (left hamstring), Coby White (left calf) and Grant Williams (right hamstring) are all out, along with Kylan Boswell (right knee surgery). The Hornets said all three of the first group have returned to individual on-court work as they rehab, but none is ready for game action. Grayson Allen, who had been day-to-day with a knee issue, is not listed.
Brooklyn has one name on its report: rookie Tyler Bilodeau, who is out with a right shoulder sprain. Game Center.
Chicago’s report is the longest of the night. Jordan Hawkins and Dailyn Swain are officially doubtful with a gastrointestinal illness; K.C. Johnson had already reported that Hawkins would not play. Nic Claxton (left hamstring strain) is out. Zach Collins is probable, now listed with a right quadriceps strain, and Tobe Awaka (left MCL sprain), Leonard Miller (right adductor strain) and Isaac Okoro (left patellar tendinopathy) are also probable. Toronto lists only Nate Bittle, who is out. Kawhi Leonard is not on the report. Game Center.
Memphis lists Isaiah Stewart as doubtful with a left ankle sprain, so the Grizzlies are not ruling him out yet. Utah has four players out: Jusuf Nurkić (partial plantar plate tear in his right foot), Trey Alexander (left knee bone bruise), Tony Bradley (left quadriceps strain) and Blake Hinson (left hamstring strain). Game Center.
Indiana will be without two of its most experienced rotation players. McConnell (right hamstring strain) and Nesmith (left hamstring strain), both day-to-day heading into the week, have been ruled out, along with Johnny Furphy (right ACL surgery). Jarace Walker, also day-to-day earlier in the week, is not listed. Two-way players Kobe Brown and Jalen Slawson are probable and Braden Smith is doubtful. New Orleans has no one on its report. Game Center.
Grant Afseth reported Tuesday that Aldama was doubtful. The official report goes further and lists him as out as he continues to recover from right knee surgery. Dereck Lively II (right foot surgery), Caleb Martin (right thumb sprain) and Tarik Biberovic (right heel bursitis) are also out for Dusty May’s first game. Houston lists Steven Adams as questionable with right calf tightness and Julian Phillips as questionable with an illness. Game Center.
The Warriors, Lakers, Suns, Trail Blazers, Kings and Clippers had not filed by 6 p.m. ET. The main names to watch are Brandin Podziemski, who was unable to practice on Tuesday because of lower back soreness, and Charles Bassey (knee) for Golden State. For the Lakers, Bronny James returned to practice after an illness, while Cameron Carr and Adou Thiero sat out again. Luke Kennard (knee) is the question for Phoenix, and Malik Monk, Dylan Cardwell and Maxime Raynaud are the ones to watch for Sacramento.
Teams update the report through Wednesday, and the league posts a new version every 15 minutes on game days, so doubtful and questionable players can still change. Our Wednesday preview has tip times in ET and Cairo for every game, and the injuries page tracks every team’s latest list.
