Stephen Curry scored a season-high 41 points on 13-of-19 shooting with six rebounds and six assists as Golden State beat Orlando 126-119 in overtime at Chase Center, the Warriors’ seventh straight win after an 0-3 start.

Stephen Curry scored a season-high 41 points on 13-of-19 shooting as the Golden State Warriors beat the Orlando Magic 126-119 in overtime on Saturday night at Chase Center. Curry added six rebounds and six assists in just under 36 minutes, went 5-of-10 from three and 10-of-10 at the free-throw line, and Golden State improved to 7-3 with its seventh straight win.

He scored 19 of those 41 points in the fourth quarter and overtime. Golden State led 57-41 at halftime before Orlando erased the gap and took a 78-77 lead into the fourth. Franz Wagner had 30 points and 11 assists for the Magic. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg scored 23 points with eight rebounds and three blocks, Brandin Podziemski added 15 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three, and Draymond Green handed out a season-high 13 assists.
Curry scored 12 points in the final 2:21 of regulation, including two deep threes, a layup, two free throws and a runner with 25 seconds left that put Golden State up two.
“That was an impossible shot,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “So much traffic. That was a 12-foot sort of running, float, hook, whatever you call it. To put that off the glass, he’s one of one. I don’t know if anyone else in the world can make that shot.”
Jamal Cain hit a putback with two seconds left that forced overtime. Cain finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Kerr kept Curry and Green on the bench to start the extra period. Charles Bassey scored the first four points of overtime and Lendeborg hit a wing three that put Golden State up five before Kerr brought Curry back to close.
Curry converted a three-point play with 1:38 left in overtime that put the Warriors ahead, then scored a layup in the final minute. Wendell Carter Jr. missed two free throws with 1:15 remaining that would have tied the game. Curry and Lendeborg combined for Golden State’s final 12 points in overtime.

It was Curry’s second 40-point game of the season and his 77th of an 18-year career, tying Oscar Robertson for the eighth-most 40-point games in NBA history. It was also his 16th game of 40 or more since he turned 35, the most by any player at that age, ahead of LeBron James (15) and Michael Jordan (12). The 38-year-old also became the seventh player with 26,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 6,000 assists, and he has now made a three in 100 straight regular-season games, the seventh-longest streak in NBA history and the third-longest of his career.
“It makes me super proud of the work that’s gone in, especially with some injuries and all that,” Curry said. “But just the idea I could still get to a certain level you kind of feed off of that. Especially when it’s in a winning fashion like tonight, where we needed all of them. I appreciate the longevity.”
Kerr called that longevity remarkable. “Work ethic,” Kerr said. “Good genes. He’s been blessed with a body that’s held up. But he’s earned that through his strength training, conditioning and fitness level.”

The Warriors opened the season 0-3, the first such start of Curry’s career, and have now won seven straight, their longest streak since a seven-game run from March 3-15, 2025. They are only the second team to follow an 0-3 start immediately with a seven-game winning streak, joining the 1950-51 Boston Celtics.
“We don’t forget where people thought we were at the beginning of the year,” Curry said.
The Warriors host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday. Orlando, which fell to 2-7, visits Sacramento on Tuesday. The Magic have now lost four straight games on Golden State’s home floor. Golden State shot 53.8% from the field and 15-of-32 from three; Orlando shot 38.1% and went 18-of-54 from beyond the arc.
