The Suns filled their open two-way slot by claiming Drew Timme off waivers on Monday and converting his Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal, according to Michael Scotto, with John Gambadoro confirming.

Timme, a college star at Gonzaga, went undrafted in 2023 and made his NBA debut with the Nets late in the 2024-25 season before spending most of 2025-26 on a two-way deal with the Lakers. The 6-foot-9 power forward appeared in 36 regular-season games for Brooklyn and Los Angeles, averaging 5.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 13.6 minutes per game.

Timme put up 23.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in 21 outings for the South Bay Lakers in the G League last season, shooting 54.5% from the floor. He was with the Timberwolves on a non-guaranteed training camp deal this fall before being cut on Saturday. Monday was the final day to convert an Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal, allowing Phoenix to claim him and make the conversion immediately.
