The Suns are waiving guard Koby Brea, who was on a two-way contract, Michael Scotto reported on Monday, October 19. Phoenix is looking for frontcourt depth after Mark Williams underwent surgery in August to address a torn labrum in his shoulder, according to Scotto.

Brea, the 41st pick in the 2025 draft, appeared in 12 games for the Suns as a rookie, averaging 3.8 points in 7.0 minutes while shooting 43.3 percent from three-point range. He also made 34 G League appearances for the Valley Suns, averaging 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Phoenix still has Duop Reath on an Exhibit 10 contract and could convert it to a two-way deal, though that has not been confirmed. The Suns’ other two-way players are forward CJ Huntley and guard Pat Spencer.
