The Orlando Magic won their fourth and final preseason tune-up on Friday but did not escape unscathed. Star forward Franz Wagner (right shoulder soreness) and second-year reserves Noah Penda (right hamstring tightness) and Jase Richardson (sore low back) all exited the victory over Miami, according to reporter Jason Beede.

Wagner was removed with about eight minutes remaining in the third quarter after grabbing at his right arm following a three-point shot, and he was ruled out late in the period. Richardson appeared to tweak his back in the middle of an offensive possession and walked off under his own power. Penda’s injury could be the most problematic of the three: the French forward came up lame on a fast break after a steal late in the first quarter and limped to the locker room, and he had already dealt with a right hamstring strain during training camp.

There was better news elsewhere on the injury front. Anthony Black (right ankle sprain) and Jonathan Isaac (left knee) did not play Friday, but both participated in Thursday’s practice and got in on-court work before the game, suggesting they could be active for next week’s regular-season opener. “He’s doing a good job, moving well and feels good, so we’re going to keep on that,” head coach Sean Sweeney said of Black, who is eligible for a rookie scale extension through Monday’s deadline.
