Wednesday night’s preseason slate is rolling, and the first clips are already worth a look: Giannis Antetokounmpo attacking the paint for Miami against Brooklyn, Jayson Tatum feeding Mitchell Robinson early in Boston’s game with Charlotte, plus two off-court videos with some of the league’s biggest names talking about each other.

Giannis goes straight through the lane

Miami is hosting Brooklyn in the Heat’s final preseason home game, which is also the Nets’ preseason finale. Early in the first quarter, Antetokounmpo put his head down and drove the middle of the floor with nobody able to slow him, the kind of downhill rim pressure the Heat built around when they brought him in. The Heat also posted an and-one finish from him minutes later. Miami is playing this one without Bam Adebayo, who was held out with minor right groin tightness.

Tatum to Mitchell Robinson, and Robinson starts hot

In Boston, Tatum lofted a lob for Mitchell Robinson, and Robinson ended up scoring the Celtics’ first six points against the Hornets. Robinson’s early touches around the rim are worth tracking as Boston settles its frontcourt rotation before opening night. The Celtics ruled Devin Carter out of this one with an illness.

Stars hand out their flowers

This roughly one-minute clip puts Tyrese Maxey, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, Kevin Durant and others on the spot, asking them to give credit to their peers. It’s a quick, light watch, and it’s fun to hear who the league’s best players single out when they’re asked to name someone else.

Ant and LaMelo already like what they see

Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball spent this clip praising each other’s games as Minnesota’s new backcourt pairing. Their first regular-season game together comes Wednesday, Oct. 21, when the Timberwolves face Antetokounmpo and the Heat on ESPN.
