Madison Square Garden Sports and Foot Locker agreed to a multi-year deal covering arena retail, in-game branding, digital content and win-linked promotions ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Foot Locker is the Official Athletic Footwear Retailer of the New York Knicks under a new multi-year partnership with Madison Square Garden Sports, the companies announced on October 14. The deal takes effect ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season and centers on Madison Square Garden activations for Knicks home games.
The partnership includes a dedicated retail activation inside the Knicks Team Store in Chase Square, curated pop-up experiences on select game nights, and in-arena branding such as LED ribbon signage and on-court contests. Foot Locker will also present a Knicks theme night and appear on exterior digital signage outside the building.
On the digital side, Foot Locker will integrate into a Knicks original content series and the Fan Zone section of the Knicks official app. Retail promotions will be tied to select Knicks wins through the season.
To mark the launch, Foot Locker plans a Fan Express mobile experience that will stop around New York City and finish at Madison Square Garden. The activation is set to include curated footwear and apparel, ticket giveaways, podcast recordings and other prizes.
Doug Jossem, executive vice president of global sports and entertainment partnerships at MSG Entertainment, called Foot Locker a fit for the Knicks’ marketing partners. Brett O’Brien, Foot Locker’s chief marketing officer, framed the deal around New York basketball and sneaker culture and the retailer’s Hoops Lives Here basketball platform.
