The Orlando Magic and Walt Disney World are extending their Champion of the Community sponsorship, keeping the Disney brand on Magic uniforms and tying the two organizations together on the global stage while deepening their Central Florida community work, the team announced on October 12.

The partnership began in 2010. Disney became the Magic’s jersey sponsor in 2017 after years as a Champions of the Community partner. Financial terms and the exact length of the new extension were not disclosed.

Quotes from both sides

Orlando Magic President of Business Operations Charlie Freeman said the Magic are thrilled to extend the longstanding relationship with Walt Disney World, calling both groups Orlando-born organizations and pointing to 16 years of putting the community at the heart of the work.

Walt Disney World President Joe Schott said Disney and the Magic have brought people together through shared experiences and a deep commitment to Central Florida.

New Walt Disney World Atrium at Kia Center

Alongside the renewal, Disney and the Magic unveiled a redesigned Walt Disney World Atrium at Kia Center. The space features updated artwork and advanced projection technology meant to transform the atrium during Magic games and other venue events.

Disney’s presence inside the arena is not new. Earlier renewals kept Disney branding in communal spaces when the building was still known as Amway Center, including an earlier atrium and hospitality areas on select nights.
