Hawks 2026-27 promotions: Alexander-Walker, Okongwu, Johnson and Ted Turner bobbleheads, Kids Games, ’90s Night and full calendar

ATLANTA — Oct. 15, 2026 — The Hawks open their home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 24, against the Houston Rockets at State Farm Arena (8:30 p.m. ET), and every fan in the building gets a free black Hawks T-shirt from State Farm. That night starts a 2026-27 promotional calendar built around 15 signature game nights, four bobblehead giveaways and three early-tip Kids Games.

The Hawks start the season on the road, at Orlando on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and at Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 23, before coming home for the opener. Rapper Belly Gang Kushington is booked for the Opening Night halftime show.

Four bobbleheads, first 5,000 fans

Each bobblehead goes to the first 5,000 fans through the doors, one per person, while supplies last.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s comes first, on Thursday, Dec. 3, against Indiana. It marks his 2025-26 Kia NBA Most Improved Player award, which he won after averaging a career-best 20.8 points a game in his first season in Atlanta. Onyeka Okongwu’s follows on New Year’s Eve, a 3 p.m. game against Milwaukee. Jalen Johnson’s is on Wednesday, Jan. 13, against Cleveland.

The fourth honors the late Ted Turner, the Turner Broadcasting founder and former Hawks owner. That one is Wednesday, March 3, against Chicago at 7 p.m.

Kids Games and new theme nights

All three Kids Games tip early in the afternoon, and each comes with a giveaway for the first 2,000 kids. On Sunday, Nov. 22, against Detroit (3:30 p.m.), it is Harry the Hawk slippers. On Sunday, Feb. 7, against Denver (3 p.m.), it is a Harry the Hawk beanie. On Saturday, March 13, against Orlando (3 p.m.), it is a coloring drawstring bag from Georgia Aquarium.

Two nights are new this season. Single AF Night, on Thursday, Jan. 7, against Indiana, grows last season’s Single AF pregame mixer into a full game night for single fans. ’90s Night, on Monday, March 29, against Minnesota, has its own exclusive giveaway item. The calendar ends with True to Atlanta Night on Friday, April 9, against Boston, with a giveaway and arena activations.

Community nights include the MLK Forever game on Monday, Jan. 18, a 2:30 p.m. tip against Philadelphia on NBC. There is also Black Excellence Night on Feb. 1 against Washington with a T-shirt giveaway, HBCU Night on Feb. 12 against Phoenix, Crowning Courage military appreciation night on March 4 against Memphis and Ladies Night on March 11 against Brooklyn.

Washington, now Trae Young’s team, visits on two promotional nights: the Nov. 6 Cup Night and Black Excellence Night on Feb. 1. This is the Hawks’ first full season since the January trade that sent Young to the Wizards for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert.

Giveaway rules and getting in

Under the Hawks’ giveaway policy, items are handed out at the gates on the listed game day, first come, first served. It is one item per ticketed guest, even if you hold more than one ticket. Dates, items and quantities can change. For the Ted Turner night, State Farm Arena lists doors at 6 p.m. for the general public and 5:45 p.m. for season ticket members.

Single-game tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster, the team’s official ticketing partner. Chase cardholders also have a Chase Preferred Seating filter there. State Farm Arena’s bag rule allows bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches and does not allow backpacks.
