The New York Knicks are declining their fourth-year team option on Pacôme Dadiet for the 2027-28 season, Shams Charania reported Thursday. Fred Katz confirmed the report.

The option was worth $5,373,608. Dadiet is earning a guaranteed $2,983,680 this season and will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2027. Charania noted the two sides could still discuss a new contract then, though New York could not offer him a starting salary above the value of the declined option.

The 21-year-old French wing has played sparingly at the NBA level, averaging 1.6 points and 1.0 rebound in 5.2 minutes per game across 48 career appearances, including a one-minute cameo in his only game this season.

The decision gives the Knicks added financial flexibility for the summer of 2027, when Karl-Anthony Towns holds a $61 million player option, the club controls a team option on Josh Hart, and Miles McBride is on track for unrestricted free agency. Dadiet was the only player on New York’s roster with a rookie-scale team option for 2027-28.
