Oct. 30, 2026 — The first full week of Black History Month brings one night that Chicago has been circling since June. On Thursday, Feb. 4, 2027, the Bulls hold Stacey King Celebration Night against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the United Center, honoring the three-time champion and longtime Bulls broadcaster who died on June 7 at 59. The week from Tuesday, Feb. 2, to Monday, Feb. 8, also brings the NBA Pioneers Classic and a Jalen Duren bobblehead in Detroit, a Grizzlies skate deck in Memphis, a Suns cowboy hat, Kings mahjong tiles for Lunar New Year, WWE Night in Toronto and more than a dozen Black History Month and heritage nights. Below is every themed night with local and Cairo tip times and a Game Center link.

The previous week is in our guide to Jan. 26-Feb. 1, and the full season calendar is in the 2026-27 key dates.

Stacey King Celebration Night in Chicago, Thursday, Feb. 4

King was the sixth pick in the 1989 draft, out of the University of Oklahoma, and played on the Bulls’ first three championship teams from 1991 to 1993. He then spent two decades as the team’s television analyst, known for calls like ‘Give me the hot sauce!’ The Bulls announced the night on Sept. 10, saying it comes just days after what would have been his 60th birthday on Jan. 29, and that more details on the celebration will follow. All season, the Bulls’ uniforms carry a band on the upper left with his last name and a microphone icon.

The opponent fits. King was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, and starred for the Sooners before Chicago drafted him, and the visitors that night are the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thunder at Bulls tips at 7 p.m. CT, 3 a.m. Friday in Cairo. Two nights later, on Saturday, Feb. 6, the Bulls hold their Lunar New Year game against New Orleans. The Bulls’ bobblehead series is in our Bulls Statement Edition bobblehead guide.

NBA Pioneers Classic and a Duren bobblehead in Detroit

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, the Pistons hold the NBA Pioneers Classic against the Knicks, honoring Chuck Cooper, Nat ‘Sweetwater’ Clifton and Earl Lloyd, who broke the league’s color barrier in 1950 and all later played for the Pistons. The opponent is fitting here too: Clifton signed with the Knicks in 1950. The same night, the Pistons hand out a Jalen Duren bobblehead, after the center signed a contract extension in October. Knicks at Pistons tips at 7 p.m. ET, 2 a.m. Thursday in Cairo.

Detroit also holds HBCU/NPHC Night against the Bulls on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and In It for My City Night against Golden State on Sunday, Feb. 7, in a 3 p.m. ET game, 10 p.m. Sunday in Cairo. The full list is in our Pistons promo schedule.

A skate deck, Big Memphis Night and a long home stand

The Grizzlies start an eight-game home stand at FedExForum on Wednesday, Feb. 3, with Big Memphis Night against Philadelphia and a locally designed short-sleeve T-shirt for the first 5,000 fans. On Saturday, Feb. 6, against Portland, they hold Xtreme Sports Night with a Grizzlies skate deck for the first 3,000 fans and an M-Town Merch collaboration, and the Blazers stay in Memphis for a Lunar New Year game on Monday, Feb. 8. The team’s own post on the season’s giveaways is below, and the full list is in our Grizzlies giveaways guide.

Lunar New Year: mahjong tiles in Sacramento

Lunar New Year falls on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, opening the Year of the Goat, and four teams mark it this week. The Kings give Kings mahjong tiles to the first 10,000 fans against Phoenix that night, at 7 p.m. PT, 5 a.m. Sunday in Cairo. The Nuggets hold their Lunar New Year night a day early, on Friday, Feb. 5, against the Clippers, and the Bulls and Grizzlies hold theirs on Feb. 6 and Feb. 8. More in our Kings theme nights guide and Nuggets theme nights guide.

Black History Month nights across the league

Tuesday, Feb. 2, has five. The Celtics hold a Black History Month celebration against the Lakers, the Magic hold Magic on the Yard, their annual night honoring HBCUs and the Divine Nine, against New Orleans, the Nuggets hold Black Excellence Night against Oklahoma City, and the Trail Blazers hold a Celebration of Black History against Minnesota, alongside Detroit’s HBCU/NPHC Night.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, the Rockets open their Black History Month celebration against Utah with a local HBCU band. The Timberwolves hold Black Excellence Night against Miami on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. CT, 10 p.m. in Cairo, one of the week’s easiest games to watch live in Egypt. The Spurs and Wolves lists are in our Spurs promo schedule and Timberwolves giveaways guide.

Cowboy hats, WWE Night and the rest of the week

On Friday, Feb. 5, the Suns hold Western Night against Houston and give a Suns cowboy hat to the first 5,000 fans. On Saturday, Feb. 6, the Cavaliers hold AAPI Night against Orlando and the Spurs hold Fiesta Night against the Lakers. The Pacers hold STEM Fest against Atlanta on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

How the giveaways work

An item with a number beside it, like the Kings’ mahjong tiles or the Grizzlies’ skate deck, is handed out at the doors until the supply runs out, so fans who want one should arrive when the gates open. The Pistons have not said how many Duren bobbleheads they will hand out, and the Bulls have not yet announced what fans will receive on Stacey King Celebration Night. Teams can still add or change items during the season, so check the team’s site before the game.

What comes next

The week’s first themed games are Bulls at Pistons and Pelicans at Magic on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and Stacey King Celebration Night is Thunder at Bulls on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 3 a.m. Friday in Cairo. We will cover the week of Feb. 9 to 15, the run-up to All-Star weekend in Phoenix, next.
