The Golden State Warriors will likely be without their starting backcourt when they visit the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night in the second game of a back-to-back, NBC Sports Bay Area reported.

Brandin Podziemski tweaked a back injury during Friday’s 111-108 loss to the Grizzlies, and Stephen Curry said after the game he would “probably not” play, Kevin Topley wrote. Podziemski, who missed the season opener against the Lakers with low back soreness, played 33 minutes and scored 18 points on Friday. He also went to the locker room in the first quarter after taking a forearm to the head, but returned before the end of the period. Curry scored 24 points in 30 minutes in the loss.

De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II will likely pick up the bulk of the backcourt minutes if both sit out.

Golden State had not filed its official injury report for Saturday’s game as of early Saturday. Tip-off in Phoenix is 10 p.m. ET (5 a.m. Sunday in Cairo).
