The Suns are converting Duop Reath’s Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal, Michael Scotto confirmed on Monday, October 19, completing a two-way shuffle that also saw forward CJ Huntley waived alongside Koby Brea, per John Gambadoro.

Reath, a 6-foot-9 center from South Sudan, spent most of the past three years as a frontcourt reserve for the Trail Blazers. He underwent season-ending foot surgery in January and was traded to and waived by the Hawks in February. The 30-year-old holds career averages of 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 146 regular season games, and he averaged 5.5 points across four preseason appearances for Phoenix after signing an Exhibit 10 deal in late September.

Huntley, 24, went undrafted out of Appalachian State and made four NBA appearances as a rookie, but he put up 15.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 42 G League outings for the Valley Suns. Even with Reath taking one of the openings created by Monday’s cuts, the Suns still have one two-way slot left to fill.
