The late preseason games kept the highlight feeds busy on Wednesday night. Jayson Tatum carried Boston to 3-0, Josh Giddey threw a no-look pass in Milwaukee, Chicago rookie Caleb Wilson and Milwaukee rookie Brayden Burries had their moments in the same game, Dylan Harper got the Spurs bench on its feet, and Zion Williamson barreled to the rim in Dallas. Here are six clips worth watching, with a quick note on why each one matters.

Jayson Tatum steers Boston to 3-0

Nineteen points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in 29 minutes as Boston beat Charlotte 114-93 at TD Garden. Tatum looked comfortable running the offense again, and the Celtics finished the night unbeaten through three preseason games.

Josh Giddey sees Buzelis without looking

Giddey had seven assists when he whipped this blind pass to Matas Buzelis in the corner at Fiserv Forum. Chicago controlled the game in Milwaukee from the first quarter, and passes like this are a big reason the Bulls want the ball in Giddey’s hands.

Caleb Wilson makes it look easy

The Bulls rookie started next to Buzelis in Milwaukee and made a tough finish look simple. Every minute he gets in preseason helps the coaching staff figure out how big his role can be in year one.

Brayden Burries goes behind the back

Milwaukee’s rookie guard started against Chicago and found a moment of his own late, slipping the ball behind his back on the move. It was a rough night on the scoreboard for the Bucks, but Burries keeps giving them reasons to trust him with the ball.

Dylan Harper’s putback, and the bench reaction

Harper reached way back for a putback slam as San Antonio built a 60-49 halftime lead over Phoenix, and his Spurs teammates on the sideline could not believe it. Plays like this are why the second-year guard is such a fun piece next to Wembanyama and Fox.

Get out of Zion’s way

Zion Williamson put his head down and went straight to the rim in Dallas. When the Pelicans forward is healthy and attacking downhill like this, New Orleans has a much different ceiling.
