The Wednesday preseason slate gave the highlight feeds plenty to work with. Paul George threw a no-look pass in Boston, Michael Porter Jr. scored 27 in Miami, Kam Jones led Milwaukee with 23 off the bench, the Bulls assisted on almost every basket, Duncan Robinson got hot for Detroit in Minnesota, and Jon Elmore brought his celebration back in San Antonio. Here are six clips worth watching, with a quick note on why each one matters.

Paul George doesn’t need to look

Boston picked this as its Play of the Game: Paul George whipping a pass without a glance at his target as the Celtics beat Charlotte 114-93 at TD Garden. George finished with five points, six rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes, and his passing gives Boston another playmaker next to Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.

Michael Porter Jr. pours in 27 at Miami

Porter scored 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting, 4-of-8 from deep, in only 27 minutes against the Heat. Brooklyn lost 144-128 at Kaseya Center, but Porter looked like the clear first option for the Nets on offense.

Kam Jones is a bucket

Jones came off the bench and scored 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting in 22 minutes, the best scoring night of anyone on either team. Milwaukee lost 125-104 to Chicago at Fiserv Forum, but Jones gave the coaching staff plenty to think about as the guard rotation takes shape.

35 assists on 39 baskets for Chicago

The Bulls assisted on 35 of their 39 field goals in the 125-104 win in Milwaukee. Josh Giddey had nine assists and Tre Jones added seven off the bench, while Matas Buzelis hit five threes and Leonard Miller scored 18. That kind of ball movement is what Chicago wants to be about this season.

Duncan Robinson in his bag

Robinson hit 4 of 5 threes and scored 15 points in Detroit’s 128-106 win at Minnesota. With Cade Cunningham handing out nine assists and Jalen Duren scoring 24, Robinson’s shooting gives the Pistons another reason for defenses to stay home on the perimeter.

Jon Elmore’s head-tap celebration is back

The Spurs guard brought out his signature head tap again late in San Antonio’s 123-103 win over Phoenix. Elmore only played 10 minutes on a night when Victor Wembanyama had 19 points and four blocks, but this celebration was one of the moments the home crowd enjoyed most.
