Jayson Tatum had 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, and Boston moved to 2-1. Chicago, two nights after a home loss to Washington, fell to 1-3.
Pritchard played 22 minutes off the bench and shot 10-of-16, including 7 of 10 from three. The Celtics made 21 of 44 threes, led by as many as 40 and outscored Chicago 39-21 in the third quarter.

How it turned
Boston closed the first quarter on a 14-3 run for a 33-21 lead, and Pritchard’s 27-footer made it 44-28 early in the second. The Bulls answered with a 15-3 run, with Josh Giddey and Norman Powell hitting threes on consecutive trips, and Powell’s step-back made it 46-43 with 5:29 left in the half. Boston pulled away again behind Neemias Queta, who scored seven points in the last five minutes of the half, and Tatum, who hit a three with 1.6 seconds left for a 66-54 halftime lead. Tatum had 19 points at the break.
Chicago opened the third with a Jalen Smith three and a Matas Buzelis layup to get within 66-59, and it was still 76-66 with 5:53 left. Then Boston went on a 28-7 run. Pritchard hit a 28-foot pull-up, Sam Hauser and Paul George added threes, and Pritchard finished it with three straight threes in the final 1:48, the last from 29 feet with 43.6 seconds left for a 104-73 lead. The Celtics led 105-75 after three, and the lead reached 40 at 127-87 with 4:07 left.

The numbers
Boston shot 46-of-93, won the boards 54-40 with 19 offensive rebounds, and outscored Chicago 46-30 in the paint and 17-8 on the fast break. George had 16 points with three threes, Hugo González scored 13 off the bench and was plus-34, and Hauser had 11 points on 3-of-4 from three and finished plus-36. Queta had 7 points and 5 rebounds in 19 minutes. Both teams committed 25 turnovers.
Chicago’s side
The Bulls shot 33-of-84 and 12-of-44 from three. Powell led them with 20 points on 4-of-7 from deep, and rookie Caleb Wilson had 17 points and 5 rebounds. Buzelis and Giddey scored 11 each, and Leonard Miller had 9 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Chicago had 12 steals but was outscored 39-21 in the third quarter.
