The Orlando Magic announced Monday that guard Jalen Suggs has a mild bone bruise in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. An MRI on Monday showed no structural damage to the knee.

Suggs’ right knee buckled as he went up for a fast-break layup in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 111-102 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. He fell after missing the shot, grabbed at the knee and limped off with help, barely putting weight on the leg. Coach Sean Sweeney said after the game he hoped Suggs had only hyperextended it, and that Suggs was in good spirits.

Suggs finished with four points, six rebounds and six assists in the win. The former No. 5 overall pick is in his sixth season after averaging 13.8 points and 5.5 assists per game last season.

Orlando is already without Paolo Banchero, who expects to miss at least a month with a high ankle sprain. The Magic are 1-2 entering Wednesday’s game at the Toronto Raptors. Ryan Young reported.
