Tuesday NBA injury report: Keegan Murray out at least 10 to 14 days, Isaiah Joe and Ausar Thompson questionable at the Knicks, and Scoot Henderson added in Portland

The Kings say Keegan Murray will be reevaluated in 10 to 14 days with left ankle capsulitis, Detroit lists Ausar Thompson and Isaiah Joe as questionable in New York, and Portland adds Scoot Henderson with left ankle soreness before Tuesday's four games.

The Sacramento Kings will be without Keegan Murray for at least the next week and a half. The team announced on Monday that Murray has been diagnosed with left ankle capsulitis and will be reevaluated in approximately 10 to 14 days, which takes him out of Tuesday’s game in San Antonio. Sacramento also gave timelines for Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell, so the 0-3 Kings will play at least another week without three of their big men.

Four games are on Tuesday’s schedule. Detroit lists Ausar Thompson and Isaiah Joe as questionable at Madison Square Garden, Portland has added Scoot Henderson as questionable with left ankle soreness for its late game against the Lakers, and Brooklyn has taken Mikel Brown Jr. off its report. Statuses below come from the league’s 12:15 a.m. ET report on Tuesday, when Boston was the only team playing Tuesday that had not filed. Times are Eastern. Cairo is seven hours ahead, so every Tuesday game tips after 2 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo.

Kings at Spurs, 8 p.m. ET (3 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo)

Murray first felt soreness and stiffness in his left ankle after Friday’s loss to Portland, according to the team’s medical update. He was listed as questionable on Saturday, downgraded to doubtful on Sunday and then sat out the 123-112 home loss to Memphis. It is the same ankle he had surgically repaired in May. Capsulitis is inflammation of the joint capsule rather than structural damage, but the Kings are not putting a return date on it beyond the reevaluation window, which runs into early November.

Raynaud, who suffered a right patellar subluxation against Golden State on Oct. 10, is progressing well in his rehab and will be reevaluated in approximately two weeks. Cardwell (left calf strain) will begin on-court activities and will be reevaluated in approximately seven days. Ben Simmons remains out as he recovers from right Achilles tendon surgery, and two-way guard Sean Pedulla is on G League assignment. With Murray, Raynaud and Cardwell all out, Sacramento is again short at forward and center against Victor Wembanyama.

San Antonio has ruled out Tobias Harris with a left calf strain. Harris missed the preseason and has not made his Spurs debut through three games. Rookie Jayden Quaintance (right knee surgery) is also out. The Spurs have no other injuries listed. Game Center.

Pistons at Knicks, 8 p.m. ET (3 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo)

Detroit is 3-0 and still has questions on the wing. Thompson is questionable with a right ankle sprain after sitting out Sunday’s 106-93 win in Philadelphia, a game he had also been listed as questionable for before the Pistons ruled him out. Joe is questionable with a right hip contusion. He took a hard fall at the rim in the first half on Sunday, played only 4 minutes and did not return, and J.B. Bickerstaff had no update on him after the game.

Jalen Duren is out again with the right hamstring strain that will be reevaluated in two weeks. Two-way players Elijah Harkless and Isaac Jones are questionable, and Ugonna Onyenso is out on his two-way assignment.

New York, 0-3 after Sunday’s 111-102 home loss to Orlando, has ruled out Jose Alvarado with a left ankle sprain. He was questionable for the Magic game and did not play. He is the only Knick on the report. Game Center.

Trail Blazers at Lakers, 11 p.m. ET (6 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo)

Henderson is a new addition to Portland’s report, listed as questionable with left ankle soreness. Center Branden Carlson has been upgraded from out to questionable as he works through the concussion protocol. He missed Friday’s win in Sacramento. Shaedon Sharpe (right meniscus surgery) remains out, and two-way players Jayson Kent, John Tonje and Chris Youngblood are out with the G League team. Portland is 2-0 and has not played since Friday.

The 3-0 Lakers list Walker Kessler as available with a splint on his left finger. Adou Thiero (left knee effusion and swelling) and Cameron Carr (right oblique strain) are out, and the Lakers announced on Monday night that Carr has been assigned to their G League affiliate in Coachella Valley. Game Center.

Nets at Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET (2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo)

Brooklyn removed Brown from its injury report for Tuesday. The rookie sat out Sunday’s 136-109 home loss to Indiana, the second night of a back-to-back, as the Nets manage his workload. Everyone else on Brooklyn’s list is a two-way or G League assignment: Tyler Bilodeau, Grant Nelson, Joshua Jefferson, Drake Powell and Ben Saraf are out.

Boston had not filed by early Tuesday. Devin Carter was the only Celtic on the report for Monday’s 134-99 win over Chicago, out with an illness. Game Center.

Wednesday’s names to watch

Ivica Zubac, Pacers: Indiana’s center sprained his left ankle when he landed on Kelly Oubre Jr.’s foot in the first quarter in Brooklyn on Sunday, and he left the arena on crutches. His X-rays were negative. He sat out Monday’s 110-102 loss in Milwaukee, and Rick Carlisle sounded more positive before that game. “Zubac is doing better. He walked into the arena with no boot,” Carlisle said. “No timetable, but encouraging. A lot of swelling last night, but better today.” Indiana hosts Philadelphia on Wednesday, and Andrew Nembhard (neck soreness), T.J. McConnell (right hamstring strain) and Ben Sheppard (left meniscus tear) were also out on Monday.

Joel Embiid and Jabari Walker, 76ers: Philadelphia sat Embiid on Sunday for right foot plantar fasciitis management, the second night of a back-to-back, and LeBron James came back in that game. Walker also missed Sunday’s loss with the right knee he tweaked against Milwaukee. The 76ers’ first report for Wednesday’s game in Indiana will show whether either is cleared.

Yves Missi, Pelicans: New Orleans still has no timetable for the left knee bone bruise Missi suffered in Utah on Friday. Jamahl Mosley had no update on him on Monday, Rod Walker reported. The Pelicans host Denver on Wednesday.

Elsewhere: Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace need surgery and are out indefinitely, and Alex Caruso sprained his right ankle and was ruled out against Phoenix on Monday. Orlando’s Jalen Suggs has a bone bruise in his right knee and will be reevaluated in two weeks, while Paolo Banchero expects to miss at least a month with his high ankle sprain.

What comes next

Teams update their reports after Tuesday shootarounds and again in the final hour before tip. The calls to watch are Thompson and Joe in New York, Henderson and Carlson in Los Angeles, and Boston’s first filing. Wednesday has 12 games, and none of those 24 teams had filed a first report as of 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Detroit, New York, San Antonio and the Lakers are on the front end of back-to-backs. The injuries page tracks every team’s latest list.
