The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that Jalen Williams underwent successful surgery on Wednesday to address his fractured left fibula and dislocated ankle. The procedure involved reconstruction of the ankle ligaments following the fracture and dislocation, the team said, and Williams will be re-evaluated following the end of the 2026-27 regular season.

Williams was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Clippers and was stretchered off the court. The Thunder announced Monday that he would undergo surgery, with a return timeline to come after the procedure.

Williams made his first All-Star and All-NBA teams in 2024-25, averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists, and did not miss a postseason game during Oklahoma City’s 2025 championship run. The Thunder are also without Cason Wallace, who is out indefinitely with a torn labrum in his left shoulder that also requires surgery. Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain started in their places in Monday’s win over the Suns.
