Jalen Williams fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle on his left leg and will undergo surgery, Thunder head of basketball operations Sam Presti announced at a press conference on Monday. Justin Martinez reported.

Presti said Williams was in good spirits and optimistic, with a return timeline to be provided after the procedure. He also announced that Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder, another injury requiring surgery. Both players are considered out indefinitely, with timetables to come post-surgery. Shams Charania noted that both are expected to miss several months.

Williams was stretchered off during Sunday’s win over the Clippers, and Wallace exited the same game after six minutes. Both were ruled out for Monday’s game against Phoenix.

Williams made his first All-Star and All-NBA teams in 2024/25, averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals, and did not miss a postseason game during the Thunder’s 2025 championship run despite playing through a major right wrist injury that required two procedures.
