The Utah Jazz waived forward-center Mohamed Wague on Tuesday, October 13, the team announced. The move ends the undrafted rookie’s current NBA training-camp stint.

Reports say Wague had signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Utah last week. The waiver leaves an opening on the Jazz’s 21-player preseason roster, according to that report.

A possible G League route, not a confirmed assignment

Wague is expected to report to Utah’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. That is a reported expectation, not an announced Stars signing in the Jazz’s waiver release.

Reports indicate a $5,000 Exhibit 10 bonus if he spends at least 60 days with the Stars this season. The condition matters: the waiver itself does not confirm a completed G League agreement or earned bonus.

Utah’s release outlines Wague’s background

The Jazz said Wague started all 37 games in his senior season at Oklahoma, averaging 6.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 assists. His four Division I seasons included stops at West Virginia and Alabama before Oklahoma.

Utah also noted that Wague helped Mali win silver at the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket. The team’s October 13 release confirms the waiver but does not announce his next contract. Follow every camp cut on the NBA transactions tracker.
