Prime Video is heading into its second season as an NBA national partner with a bigger postseason role than it had in year one. Amazon announced on Wednesday that it will carry the 2027 Eastern Conference Finals exclusively, the first time the streamer has held a conference finals series, on top of the full SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament and select first- and second-round playoff games.

The announcement also confirmed Prime’s on-air roster for 2026-27 and introduced Prime 360, a new AI-driven highlight system built from a ring of high-resolution cameras around the court. In total, Prime says it will show more than 100 regular-season and postseason games.

The schedule highlights

  • Opening night, Friday, Oct. 23: the defending champion Knicks visit the Celtics at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the Rockets against the Western Conference champion Spurs in Austin at 9:30 p.m. ET. Coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. ET.
  • NBA Cup: five straight Friday group-stage doubleheaders starting Oct. 30 and ending on Black Friday, Nov. 27, then the Knockout Rounds and the Championship Game on Dec. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
  • Europe: the NBA Paris Game on Jan. 14, billed as Victor Wembanyama’s homecoming, and the Manchester Game.
  • Return games: Jaylen Brown’s first trip back to Boston as a 76er on Jan. 21 and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first game back in Milwaukee with the Heat on Jan. 28, both exclusive to Prime.
  • Most-featured teams: the Knicks, Lakers, 76ers and Spurs each appear 10 times.

Those dates line up with the national windows already set across the league’s three partners. For the full opening-week picture across NBC, Peacock, ESPN and Prime, see our Tip-Off week TV guide, and for the tournament final in Indiana, our look at the Cup Championship at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Who is on the call

Taylor Rooks returns as the studio anchor. She will work alongside Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, Udonis Haslem, John Wall and Kyle Lowry, while Steve Nash, Dwyane Wade and Candace Parker will rotate between the studio and game-analyst assignments.

The game crews are unchanged at the top. Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlan, Michael Grady and Eric Collins handle play-by-play, with Stan Van Gundy, Brent Barry, Dell Curry and Jim Jackson as analysts. Cassidy Hubbarth, Allie Clifton, Kristina Pink and JayDee Dyer are the sideline reporters.

Each game night opens with a 30-minute NBA on Prime Pregame show from Amazon Studios in Culver City, California. The Half runs at halftime, The Crossover fills the gap between doubleheader games, and NBA Nightcap closes the night as a one-hour postgame show. NBC released its first two weeks of crew assignments on the same day.

What Prime 360 adds

Prime 360 is the main new feature for season two. Amazon says the system takes footage from cameras placed around the arena and runs it through its own AI models to build multi-angle, cinematic replays that a standard broadcast camera cannot produce. It will appear during live action and as an analysis tool in pregame, halftime and postgame shows on select broadcasts. The system was built by Prime Video producers, engineers and AI scientists and runs on AWS Trainium chips.

The Prime Vision alternate stream is also back on select games. It adds player-tracking scorebugs and graphics, and it serves as the test bed for Prime Insights, the AI-generated overlays that flag offensive players in a scoring position, label defensive coverages on ball screens and show live stats such as catch-and-shoot versus off-the-dribble three-point percentage.

Fantasy and betting overlays

Viewers who link a Yahoo Fantasy account to their Prime Video profile will see their season-long fantasy roster and live fantasy scoring on screen, along with suggestions for games featuring their players. The feature also works on NBA League Pass when it is watched through Prime Video.

The opt-in FanDuel bet tracker also returns. It shows a viewer’s active NBA bets and their status during the game, plus an Odds View feed of live lines. Amazon says the feature does not let fans place bets inside the Prime Video app. It arrives the same week the NBA and WNBA launched a responsible gaming campaign warning young adults about the risks of sports betting and prediction markets.

Why it matters

This is year two of the league’s 11-year media agreements with Disney, NBCUniversal and Amazon. With an exclusive conference finals now on Prime, the 2027 East champion will be decided on a streaming-only platform, a first for the NBA. The rest of Prime’s package keeps it at the center of the Cup and the Play-In, the two events the league added over the past few seasons.
