Four games on Tuesday, October 27, with Eastern and Cairo tip times, US TV, injuries and the storyline of every matchup, led by Pistons at Knicks and Trail Blazers at Lakers on NBC.

Tuesday, October 27, has four NBA games, and two of them put an unbeaten team against a winless one. The 3-0 Detroit Pistons visit the 0-3 New York Knicks, the 0-3 Brooklyn Nets visit the 2-1 Boston Celtics, and the late game matches two teams that have not lost yet: the 2-0 Portland Trail Blazers at the 3-0 Los Angeles Lakers. The first tip is Nets at Celtics at 7:30 p.m. ET, which is 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo, and the last is Trail Blazers at Lakers at 11 p.m. ET, or 6 a.m. Wednesday in Cairo.
Pistons at Knicks and Trail Blazers at Lakers make up a national doubleheader on NBC in the United States, with the late game also streaming on Peacock. The other two games are on local TV and NBA League Pass. Boston is the only team on the second night of a back-to-back, and four of tonight’s teams, Detroit, New York, San Antonio and the Lakers, play again on Wednesday. Availability below follows the league’s official injury report as of 2 a.m. ET Tuesday (9 a.m. in Cairo), when Boston had not yet filed; our Tuesday injury report has the full list and our injuries page tracks every change before tip.
| Game | Tip (ET, Tue) | Tip (Cairo) | US TV |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brooklyn Nets at Boston Celtics | 7:30 p.m. | 2:30 a.m. Wed | Local TV |
| Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks | 8:00 p.m. | 3:00 a.m. Wed | NBC |

| Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Lakers | 11:00 p.m. | 6:00 a.m. Wed | NBC, Peacock |
Cairo is on UTC+3 until the end of October, seven hours ahead of New York, so every Tuesday game tips on Wednesday in Cairo.
Boston plays for the second night in a row after a 134-99 rout of Chicago on Monday, when Payton Pritchard came off the bench for 28 points and made 7 of his 10 threes. Jayson Tatum added 23 points, and the Celtics have won two straight since losing their opener in Detroit. Brooklyn is 0-3 and comes off a 136-109 loss to Indiana on Sunday, two nights after it pushed Cleveland to the final minutes in a 125-121 loss. The Nets have listed only G League and two-way players, and rookie Mikel Brown Jr. is off the report. Boston had not filed. Game Center.
The defending champions are one of the league’s winless teams. New York lost 106-100 to Philadelphia, 107-103 in Boston and then 111-102 at home to Orlando on Sunday, when Franz Wagner scored 21 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and Jalen Brunson needed 28 shots for his 28 points. Detroit is 3-0 after a 106-93 win in Philadelphia, led by Cade Cunningham’s 26 points and John Collins’ 16 points and 11 rebounds. The Pistons are still without Jalen Duren (right hamstring strain), and Ausar Thompson (right ankle sprain) and Isaiah Joe (right hip contusion) are questionable. Jose Alvarado (left ankle sprain) is the only Knick on the report, and he is out. Game Center.
San Antonio got its first win on Saturday, 122-106 in Dallas behind 23 points from Victor Wembanyama and 22 from Dylan Harper, and has had two days off since. Sacramento is 0-3 after Sunday’s 123-112 home loss to Memphis, a night Zach LaVine scored 37. The Kings will be short in the frontcourt again: Keegan Murray (left ankle capsulitis) is out and will be reevaluated in 10 to 14 days, and Dylan Cardwell (left calf strain), Maxime Raynaud (right patella subluxation) and Ben Simmons (right Achilles surgery) are also out. The Spurs have ruled out Tobias Harris (left calf strain), who has yet to debut for them, and rookie Jayden Quaintance (right knee surgery). Game Center.
One unbeaten record ends in Los Angeles. The Lakers are 3-0 after Luka Dončić scored 52 points, the most by any player this season, with 10 assists and eight threes in Sunday’s 132-123 win in Utah. Austin Reaves added 29. Portland has not played since Friday, when Deni Avdija scored 26 in a 128-120 win in Sacramento, two nights after a 124-83 opener against Phoenix that marked Damian Lillard’s return. Scoot Henderson (left ankle soreness) and Branden Carlson (concussion protocol) are questionable, and Shaedon Sharpe (right meniscus surgery) is out. Walker Kessler is available for the Lakers with a left finger splint, while Cameron Carr (right oblique strain) and Adou Thiero (left knee swelling) are out. Game Center.
Wednesday, October 28, has 12 games, including 76ers at Pacers (Game Center), Thunder at Mavericks (Game Center) and the second night of a back-to-back for the Lakers at the Clippers (Game Center). Every night is on our schedule page.
