Orlando Magic forward Noah Penda turned a fast-break dunk into a viral preseason moment when the ball bounced off his own face and through the rim — then officials wiped the basket for interference.

The sequence came in Orlando’s preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Kia Center on Tuesday, October 13. Clips shared widely on Wednesday showed Penda rising for the slam, the ball striking his face, and the ball still finding the hoop before referees ruled basket interference.

Penda, a 21-year-old forward, has been working into Orlando’s rotation after a right-hamstring strain earlier in camp. The Magic beat Cleveland 132-116 in the exhibition.
