The Nuggets list 14 theme nights and ticket packages at Ball Arena for 2026-27, from Military Night on Nov. 2 to Nuggets Nation Appreciation Night on April 11, and four home-opener tickets are up for grabs for anyone who can copy Jokić’s behind-the-back pass.

DENVER — Oct. 15, 2026 — The Nuggets have posted 14 theme nights and special ticket offers for the 2026-27 season at Ball Arena, starting with Military Night on Nov. 2 against Portland and closing with Nuggets Nation Appreciation Night on April 11 against Oklahoma City.

Two of the dates are ticket packages rather than open theme nights: the Grateful Dead Ticket Package on Nov. 4 against Toronto and the Serbian Heritage Ticket Package on Feb. 11 against Chicago. Both come with a promotional item that is only included when you buy that specific ticket.

Before any of that, the team is giving away four tickets to the Oct. 24 home opener against New Orleans to one fan who can copy Nikola Jokić’s behind-the-back pass. Entries close Friday night.

November is the busiest early stretch: three special nights in 15 days, with Military Night, the Grateful Dead package and Native American Heritage Night all falling between Nov. 2 and Nov. 16. January then carries four more, from Pride Night against Phoenix on Jan. 5 to Special Olympics Colorado Night against Portland on Jan. 31.

Southwest presents five of the nights: Native American Heritage, Pride, Black Excellence, Somos Los Nuggets and Women’s Empowerment. Children’s Hospital Colorado presents Rocky’s SuperMascot Mania on April 4, and Xfinity presents the season-ending Nuggets Nation Appreciation Night. The team also lists Book Nights as coming soon, with no dates yet.

Theme nights vs. ticket packages: what you actually get

The Nuggets split these events into four types. Theme nights are full game-day productions with in-game entertainment, arena activations and, in some cases, a promotional item or special ticket offer. Mile High Community Nights are a game ticket that may come with extra elements tied to the night. Giveaways go out at every entrance, first come, first served, to a limited number of fans. Special ticket offers bundle a game ticket with a promotional item.

A few rules matter before you buy:

  • Pregame and in-game entertainment on a theme night is open to every fan in the building. You don’t need the special ticket to see it.
  • Themed food may be sold at certain stands, but it is not included in the ticket.
  • Package items are picked up at an assigned spot on game day. Buyers get an email with the time and location closer to the date. Items are not mailed and are not sold separately.
  • Tickets bought through a third-party resale site do not qualify for theme night or special ticket offer items.
  • Season Ticket Members do not get theme night items as part of their plan. The team says a limited number may be available to redeem through its season ticket benefits platform.
  • Special-offer tickets can cost more than a regular single-game seat because they include an item, an experience or a donation to the partner group.

All tickets for these nights are delivered in the Denver Nuggets app.

Home-opener ticket contest: recreate Jokić’s pass

The “Behind the Back Pass” promotion runs from 10 a.m. MT on Oct. 13 to 11:59 p.m. MT on Friday, Oct. 16. To enter, fans film themselves recreating the behind-the-back pass Jokić threw in the Oct. 4 preseason game against Utah, then post the video on X or Instagram (story or reel) and tag @Nuggets. One entry per person.

It is open only to Colorado residents who are 18 or older. One winner will be drawn at random and gets four lower-level tickets to the Oct. 24 game against the Pelicans at Ball Arena, plus courtside access during player warmups. The official rules put the approximate retail value at $760. No purchase is needed to enter.

Season catalog and single-game tickets

The Nuggets released their 2026-27 season catalog in August, and single-game tickets went on sale Sept. 10. The theme night list above is the team’s current version; dates and items can still be added before each game.
