CLEVELAND — Oct. 15, 2026 — The Cavaliers open their Rocket Arena season in nine days, on Saturday, Oct. 24 against Brooklyn at 7:30 p.m. ET, and every fan in the building that night gets a Cavaliers home-opener T-shirt and a rally towel.
That is the first of 31 promotional dates on the team’s 2026-27 home calendar. The schedule is built around the 10th anniversary of the 2016 championship, with three celebration nights in November and December, three player bobbleheads and two brand-new nights: Marvel Night and 216 Day.
Three nights for the 2016 title
The anniversary programming marks the 2016 Finals win over Golden State and the comeback from a 3-1 series deficit. It starts Saturday, Nov. 7 against the Knicks, continues Nov. 14 against Dallas with a 2016 championship mini banner for fans, and wraps on Dec. 12 when the Warriors visit. That third night is also the Matthew Dellavedova bobblehead game, a nod to a reserve guard from the title team.
The first anniversary night comes one night after Cleveland hosts Philadelphia on Nov. 6 in an NBA Cup game.
The bobbleheads and the big giveaways
- Matthew Dellavedova bobblehead: Sat, Dec. 12 vs. Golden State, 8 p.m. ET
- Sam Merrill bobblehead: Sun, Dec. 20 vs. Utah, 6 p.m. ET
- James Harden bobblehead: Tue, Feb. 9 vs. Toronto, 7 p.m. ET
- “Spida” foam finger on Marvel Night: Mon, Dec. 21 vs. New York, 7 p.m. ET
- City Edition cap: Thu, March 4 vs. Portland; City Edition mini water cooler: Thu, April 1 vs. Boston
- Stash bag on Fan Appreciation Day: Sun, April 11 vs. Atlanta, the regular-season home finale
Marvel Night is tied to the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” film. The foam finger for that Knicks game is shaped in a Spider-Man web-shooting pose, a play on Donovan Mitchell’s “Spida” nickname.
216 Day, named for Cleveland’s area code, debuts on Tuesday, Feb. 16 against Milwaukee. The Bucks stay in town for the next night, which opens the team’s Black Heritage Celebration; that series returns Feb. 25 against Sacramento and spotlights historically Black colleges and universities and the Divine 9 fraternities and sororities.

What to know before you buy
The team has not published distribution quantities or eligibility rules for most giveaways, so fans buying a ticket for a specific collectible should check the details for that game first. The Rocket Arena ticket page lists a limit of six tickets per person per game, with tickets sold through SeatGeek, the team’s ticketing partner.
The promo schedule sweepstakes, in which fans ranked their top three giveaway items for a chance at free tickets, closed on Oct. 6. The Cavaliers say more theme and awareness nights will be added during the season.
Cleveland comes in off a 52-30 season and a trip to the Eastern Conference finals. The Cavs play two home games in the first week, Brooklyn on Oct. 24 and Minnesota on Oct. 26, before Washington visits on Oct. 28 for Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
