Rui Hachimura could return on the Clippers’ road trip; three teammates stay home to rehab

Rui Hachimura will travel with the Los Angeles Clippers on their road trip to Minnesota on Friday and Golden State on Sunday, and he could return from left quad soreness for one or both games, Ohm Youngmisuk reported. Traveling with the team does not confirm he plays.

Hachimura sat out Wednesday’s 103-87 home loss to the Lakers, when Kobe Sanders started in his place.

Max Strus (right plantar fascia tear), Brandon Ingram (right heel surgery) and Yanic Konan Niederhauser (right Lisfranc surgery) are making progress in their recoveries but will stay in Los Angeles to rehab during the trip, Youngmisuk reported. All three were also out Wednesday, part of the absence list in Wednesday’s injury report.
