SAN FRANCISCO — Oct. 15, 2026 — Three days before Opening Night week, the Warriors are opening Chase Center for a $5 practice. Open Practice, presented by Waymo, is Sunday, Oct. 18, with doors at 2 p.m. Pacific and the program starting about 2:30. Net proceeds go to the Golden State Community Foundation.

The afternoon is not a preseason game. Head coach Steve Kerr sits for a question-and-answer session with television play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald around 2:30 p.m., then players and coaches take the floor for drills and other basketball work. Tickets went on sale Oct. 7 through the team.

Sunday schedule: doors, Q&A, then drills

Chase Center and the Warriors both list a 2:30 p.m. start. Some Ticketmaster listings still show 3 p.m. for the same event; follow the venue clock if you are trying to catch Kerr’s Q&A. Doors open at 2 p.m., so early arrival is the safe plan.

$5 tickets, Waymo VIP chance, Muni for free

Every ticket is $5. The Warriors use all-in pricing on their marketplace, so the number you see while browsing already includes fees. Ticketmaster has listed a four-ticket limit and non-transferable terms for this event; check the checkout screen when you buy, because those rules can change.

Fans who take a Waymo ride to Chase Center can check in at Portal 10 with a ride receipt for a chance at a VIP-section upgrade while supplies last. Separately, Chase Center is handing a Waymo charm digital camera to the first 2,000 fans in the building that Sunday.

Parking is limited. An Open Practice ticket doubles as a free Muni pass for the entire day of the event, and Muni runs express service that connects with BART for Chase Center. The 78X 16th Street Arena Express and the T Third (UCSF/Chase Center stop) are the usual transit options for arena events.

Chase cardholder discounts and bag rules

For Open Practice and Warriors games, Chase cardholders who pay with a Chase card get $5 off each purchase of $30 or more at Chase Center eateries, and $20 off purchases of $100 or more at any Golden State Shop location.

Chase Center’s usual bag policy still applies: most backpacks are out, and ordinary bags are capped at 14 by 6 by 14 inches. Bags are screened at entry. Recheck the venue event page before you leave, because a practice can carry event-specific notes that differ from a standard tip-off.

Next up: home opener Oct. 23 vs. Memphis

Five days after Open Practice, Golden State opens the regular season at Chase Center against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. Pacific. Tickets for that opener are still listed as available through the team. For the club’s two Emirates NBA Cup home nights and shirt giveaways, see our Warriors Cup Games guide.
